Summerhill House hosted an open day at Sage Cafe and Deli in Salt Rock on Friday, June 20.
The non profit sold hand-made blankets and cushions and raised awareness around the plight of the children they support in Etete.
The items were made by a group of unemployed women at Summerhill House as part of their skills programme.
Summerhill House is fundraising to build a foster cluster care and community centre in the township.
Their current projects include homework support, a holiday feeding programme and a monthly church service.
Sage donated 15% of their turnover for the day to the charity.
