Sugar crews shake up the Mr Price Pro

These kids have swag.

Sugar Dance studios blew the audience away at the Mr Price Pro Ballito main stage yesterday morning.

Julie Robert, owner of Sugar Dance studios, in collaboration with the dynamic duo Craig and Mandy Bullock, owners of DanceWeb Studios in Joburg, auditioned for and formed five street dance/hiphop dance crews with children ranging from ages seven to 17.

The crews are soon to jet off to Joburg to compete in the Hiphop Dayz competition near the end of July.

This was their ‘practice’ performance to get a feel for being in front of a live audience and to iron out any kinks in their performances.

Each crew and solo performer impressed the crowds with their skills and on stage presence.

Looks like the standard of dance in Ballito is definitely on the rise.

“This is a fantastic platform for dancers to showcase their talent. To dance in front of all these people at a wonderful festival like this is just an amazing opportunity for these children and dance in general,” said Craig Bullock.
