Umhlali SAPS arrested a marijuana dealer at the Mr Price Pro last week.
On Wednesday, Lt Col Dieter Fittkau arrested the stall operator and 17 small bags of marijuana were confiscated during the bust.
“One of our informants told us that he had been dealing drugs. After we got someone to buy from him, we made an arrest,” said Fittkau.
According to Fittkau the dealer is now out on bail.
The following day police returned to the retail area at the Mr Price Pro. Once again SAPS had received information that some stall owners had been selling counterfeit clothing and caps.
Umhlali officers and Captain Mary Graaff from the commercial crime unit inspected stalls for counterfeit goods.
During the operation, 276 caps were confiscated as well as two backpacks.
“The caps were valued at around R15 000 altogether,” Fittkau estimated.
The counterfeit goods were confiscated and taken back to Durban.
