One person was taken to hospital at around midday after losing control of their car on the N2 near Umhlali.
The car rolled and landed down the embankment on the side of the road.
IPSS Medical Rescue and Netcare 911 attended.
A short while earlier a taxi and a car collided near Groutville. One person was taken to hospital with moderate injuries.
