Mr Price Pro free concerts a hit

SA's top rated artists graced the stage.

Despite the chilly weather crowds still came out in their hundreds to enjoy the Mr Price Pro Ballito three-night free live Music festival on Salt Rock beach last week.

The crowds came armed with beanies, blankets and picnic baskets – nothing seemed to keep them away from the exciting line-up of musos from around South Africa.

SA’s top rated artists graced the festival each with their own unique personality, energy and sound.

The first of the three nights heard the sounds of kwaito, afro pop, hip hop, house and indie folk with the North Coast’s favourite Majozi kicking off the music festival with his smooth notes.

Multi award winning hip-hop group Teargas and Mafikizolo were the highlights of the show.

The second night had a different flavor showcasing a pop, rock and dance theme with a jam-packed line up.

One-man band Mathew Mole started the crazy night with his soulful electro folk tunes with SA’s best rock bands Gangs of Ballet and ISO rocking the beach shortly afterward.

The audience were singing along to Chiano Sky and jumping around with SAMA winners Iscream and the Chocolate Stix who gave a super energetic performance bringing the beach to life.

Multi award winning electronic hip-hop duo Locnville ended off the night with their deep base beats.

The third and final night was a DJ dance party with top DJs dropping their beats turning the beach into one big pumping party.

DJs such as DJ Fresh, Roger Goode, Milkshake and many more rocked the stage ending the festival in style.
