Ballito Rotary club growing fast

John Coburn was inducted as President.

Rotary Club of Ballito president John Coburn has pledged the service club to a renewed vision of helping the local community.

Coburn, who is the 29th president of the local chapter of the international service organisation, told members who gathered for his induction dinner at Gianni’s Restaurant last week that membership had grown from five members last year, to 22 at present. New members inducted last week were William and Jeanne Labuschagne, Johan Toet and Danny, June and Danielle Fisher.

The aims of the club for the coming year are to help and grow Vision 153, a charity which helps the poor on the North Coast, build a classroom for Sizani School at Foxhill, and raise funds for other deserving causes.
