Street Heroes returns!

This year will be bigger and better.

Last year’s champion of Ballito Street Heroes Desmond ‘Dezzi’ Gutzeit will return this year to defend his title.

“Us old guys will give these young ones a hard time on the track. Tony Martin take a picture of first place because you never going to see it again,” said Desmond.

Event organisers, Novos group and SMD, hosted the official launch for the second installment of Street Heroes at the SMD Group Ballito show room yesterday.

Petrol heads will be happy to hear that The SMD Ballito Street Heroes will be back to burn rubber on September 13 and 14.

Ballito will once again transform into a motoring mecca at the Laguna Seca precinct with a 1.5km time trial track with two chicanes.

This year will be bigger and better with the organisers making some changes to the layout of the event, prices of tickets and bringing in more exciting motor sport action after receiving feedback from last year’s event.

Another exciting addition to the event is an interactive Drifting Experience Arena where members of the public are given an opportunity to be a passenger in an experienced drifter’s car while they show off their skills.

The excitement and exhibition zone will be jam-packed with motor action from FMX, 4×4 experience, Dyno challenge, drifting displays, stunts and much more.
