‘Living jewels’ to be displayed at Annual Koi Show

Win tickets to see the show at Gateway.

Some of South Africa’s most spectacular koi fish will be on display at the Annual Koi Show at Gateway Theatre of Shopping on July 26 – 27.

The show, which will take place in Gateway’s parkade D, is South Africa’s premier koi show.

You will be amazed by fish measuring up to 90 centimetres in length, described as ‘living jewels’ because of their colour and gracefulness. The koi on display are from private collections. This will be the only opportunity for the public to see these beautiful creatures and the garden and water features.

The South African Koi Keepers Society have arranged for international judges from the United Kingdom, Australia, Holland and Japan to judge the koi entries. These world renowned judges will also be joined by local South African judges. There will be koi keeping experts present at the show to offer advice to anyone interested in the hobby.

The entrance fees are R20 for adults and R10 for children under 12.

A portion of the money from the entrance fees will be donated to the La Lucia Baby House, as well as to Lions.

For more information on the show contact Dean Britz on 083 242 2765.
