The Salt Rock Neighbourhood Watch has plans to launch an exciting new initiative aimed at reducing crime in the area. The Make A Difference (MAD) Domestic Watch was developed in Johannesburg by Penny Steyn and is running in a number of suburbs around South Africa. Steyn will launch the local version and run the first training session at the Salt Rock Country Club on August 6. She will also attend the Salt Rock/Ballito neighbourhood watch joint meeting on August 4 to give a full background and lesson plans. Chairman Martin Parry says SRNW is the first to launch the program in KZN. “Our local SAPS will also attend and are supporting this initiative. We have support from local business and are looking for more support.” For more information contact Parry on martineparry@iib.ws or 082 5542 269.
