Crowds of excited people arrived to witness Ballito’s first professional boxing event at the Ballito exhibition centre last Friday night.
The Ballito fighters did their home town proud with both Armand Herbst and David Rajuile defeating their opponents in style – Herbst with a phenomenal knock-out in the first round.
The 7th and final fight of the Box and Dine evening had everyone gripping their seats with nervous tension, the White Buffalo’s son Marcel Botha versus Analisa Gqunqisa (PE). It came down to a split decision and a one point difference, and Gqunqisa was the champion.
Organised by White Buffalo Productions, the evening was a joint venture between Hardy Mileham and Francois Botha aka “White Buffalo” a former World Heavyweight champion.
“It was a fantastic evening. We are already looking forward to the next one on August 22 at the Ford Dealership in Ballito,” said Botha.
