No child get’s left behind

30 warriors entered the race in support of the Rainbows and Smiles Foundation.

The Rainbows and Smiles Foundation entered over 30 warriors to take part in the recent Jeep Warrior Race event in Ballito.

The event was about bravery, courage and determination – something that every child needs to endure the scrupulous treatment of cancer. The day was filled with laughter, fun and adventure while raising much needed awareness and funds for children with cancer in KZN. The motto “no soldier get’s left behind” was the principal mission of the day.

While the Rainbows Warriors raced, one of foundation’s children, Khazi, underwent surgery to remove a cancerous tumor from his stomach. The day ended on a high note with the news that his surgery was a success, the tumor was removed and Khazi was stable.

Founder member Bonita Suckling thanked their sponsors Jeep Warrior Race, Rocket and Nashua Durban for making the day possible.

“Thank you for making a difference in the lives of children with cancer,” she said.
