Eighty women from across KZN, as far afield as Pongola, Empangeni and Vryheid, took to the bowling greens to compete for the top prize at the Umhlali Ladies Bowling Classics last week.
Umhlali Country Club hosted the annual competition, sponsored by Tiffany’s Spar, last week Monday and Tuesday. The winning team heralded from Durban Bowling Club and was captained by Louis Larkin. Second place went to the team from Northlands with Jill Buzzard at the helm.
The Umhlali ladies team representative Colleen Hartenstein thanked all the sponsors for making the day a great success.
“Great friendships were made and fun was had by all,” said Hartenstein.
