Artsy brilliance at Crawford North Coast
Stunning art from talented pupils
Pattern makers, sculptors, painters, illustrators, photographers, dress makers and even a talented tattoo artist – believe me Crawford North Coast College had it all at their 2014 Matric art exhibition last Wednesday.
The Crawford artists really out did themselves, displaying a high caliber of art with such a refreshing variety of pieces, every display having its own unique flavour and edge.
The standard is what you would expect only from mature and very experienced artists with Tatem Marais standing out as a truly brilliant painter and illustrator. Drawings and paintings that you would think would take weeks to develop take her between a mere five days to a week.
Lorenzo Valenti was another stand out artist with his very unique and innovative interpretations of ‘Ying Yang’ and ‘Time beats by’ made out of mixed media.
The exhibition was complimented by live instrumental music as well as a performance by Crawford students who rapped and beat boxed to entertain the crowd.
