Ready, steady, potjie in Ballito

While the fires burned through the Ballito sugar cane fields, the fires were burning at the Ballito Gesinkerk’s annual Potjiekos Fete on Saturday.

Avid potjie chefs were battling it out once again to win the prize of best potjie of 2014.

Chefs were under pressure to cook the best traditional outdoor style Potjie while guests enjoyed the church fete with tables overflowing with delicious cakes and goodies.

There was also a water slide set up for the kiddies as well as some games for them to have fun.

Team Kascaas were the champions, made up of two couples Zach and Gerda Oosthuizen and Johan and Anna-marie Barnard.
