Hook a bass for charity!
The North Coast Courier are celebrating Heritage Day by hosting a bass fishing competition.

The North Coast Courier Orphan Fund and property heavyweights Seeff are celebrating Heritage Day (Wednesday, September 24) in style by hosting a bass fishing competition at the picturesque Rain Farm Game and Lodge.
Only 15 minutes from Ballito and boasting four pristine bass dams, a restaurant, putt-putt course, game viewing and spa facilities, Rain Farm is the perfect venue to come and enjoy a morning out with the whole family.
Registration starts at 6.30am and will remain open until 9am for the not-so-early birds.
Fishing takes place from 7-11am with prize giving at 11.30am. Loads of prizes are up for grabs including the top three biggest bass in the senior and junior (13 years and under) categories as well as lucky draws and a raffle.
Come and see if you can catch the mysterious tagged bass and win a whopping R5, 000 in cash!
The kids can enjoy the jumping castle while moms are pampered with express spa treatments at the Rain Farm spa.
Buy your tickets early to benefit from the Early Bird price of R80 per adult (R100 on the day) or R50 per child (R70 on the day). Enter online at www.northcoastcourier.co.za or at BBS Mica or Hook Line and Sinker in Ballito.
Wors rolls and drinks will be on sale all morning. You do not need to worry about lunch either and can get into the spirit of national braai day by booking for Rain Farm’s famous braai buffet after the prize giving (032-8151050).
The goal is to raise money for the ongoing work of the North Coast Courier Orphan Fund.
“Every cent raised, whether from sponsors, raffles or entry fees will go directly towards supporting, feeding and helping to educate the orphaned and vulnerable children in our area” said Orphan Fund secretary Rose Stephenson.
Tim Johnson, sales director of Seeff in Ballito summed up their involvement: “Seeff Dolphin Coast is very proud to support the upcoming North Coast Courier Orphan Fund Bass competition.
We enjoy a fantastic relationship with the Orphan Fund and are fully behind their continuing and invaluable community work.
Being able to spend a fun day fishing with the whole family in support of such a worthy cause is a privilege for our team and we encourage everyone to come and throw a line. Tight lines!”
