A new fishing craze has hit the beach and it is sure to blast the competition away. The guys from Bunker up Fishing were on Salmon Bay Beach with their “Sandblaster Baitcaster” this morning. Danie Le Roux said the rocket-like device can cast your bait up to 300 meters into the sea and help you catch bigger fish. “You can use anything as bait as long as it fits into the bait mould.” Danie and his team have used prawns, bonnies, sardines, red-eye and mullets. Danie said the device only works with braided line and coffee grinders and interested anglers should bring the right gear. They will be demonstrating this crazy invention to the public until Sunday afternoon.
