Garden and flower club celebrates 30 years
These flower ladies are everlastings.
Champagne, tea and cake were enjoyed in abundance at the Umhlali and District Garden and Flower Club’s 30th birthday last Wednesday.
The party was held at Sharneen Thompson’s beautiful garden at Seaforth Farm, Foxhill, also the venue for the inaugural meeting of the club, 30 years ago. The club’s founding president Rosemary Ladlau and first treasurer Sharneen Thompson are still active members of the club and were honoured for all they have done to make the club thrive over the years.
The club members enjoyed a talk on the history of the club and the farm, a walk through the house and garden and a celebration tea.
