PLG court case postponed again

Fate of the pupils unknown as KZN schools open tomorrow.

The PLG Schools Ballito Academy court case has yet again been postponed.

“We will know the date of the next court appearance by the end of the week,” said Ballito Academy’s Claire Switherbank Bowman.

With KZN schools opening tomorrow, this is a great inconvenience to parents who have enrolled their kids and newly appointed teachers who may now be without jobs.

At this stage the fate of the unfortunate pupils who are meant to start the 2015 school year tomorrow with the rest of the province, is still unknown.

The KwaDukuza municipality maintains that the school does not have the necessary consent and occupancy certificate to operate.

PLG said it has been dealing with the municipality regarding the opening since October and accused it of acting in bad faith.
