Neighbourhood Watch making Ballito safer
Community urged to join hands and make the town safer.
The Ballito Neighbourhood Watch (BNW) are urging the community to join them in making Ballito safer by joining the ‘house numbering safety initiative.’
With the support of the municipality and local councillor, BNW will be marking members’ homes with white stencilled numbering at the bottom of each driveway and would like to encourage all residents to join.
“A clear number marking your property is a quick and effective way of protecting your property by making it easy to identify by the police, emergency services and private security companies,” said BNW chairman Cobus Brink.
If you are interested in having this done outside your home for a nominal fee of R20, contact Michelle via email on michellemann@mweb.co.za.
BNW works in partnership with the South African Police Service (SAPS), the Community Policing Forum (CPF), local authorities and private security services to make Ballito a safer place to live.
The network recently elected a new committee under the guidance of their chairman, Cobus Brink.
To meet the committee and become part of making Ballito a safer place to live attend the next meeting on January 27 at the Dolphin Striders Club at 6 for 6.30 pm.
