DA councillors and party members handed over a much needed car jack to the Umhlali SAPS on Monday, January 26.
“Solving one of their headaches is part of relationship building with Umhlali SAPS to be able to do things better for the community,” said ward six councillor Colin Marsh.
He said that together they have covered a lot of ground in a short time and their relationship with Umhlali SAPS was working brilliantly.
“As the opposition party, the DA offers assistance to the police, clinics and other public service organisations rather than criticizing,” said Marsh.
Warrant officer Afzal Hoosen received the jack and Lt Col Dieter Fittkau thanked the party.
“We gladly receive assistance from any individual or entity. Anything to help us improve our service delivery is welcomed,” said Lt Col Fittkau.
