21 arrested after Stanger shoot-out
Police clamp down on ongoing taxi violence.
Twenty-one people were arrested in Stanger this morning following a shoot-out last night.
No one was injured.
KwaZulu-Natal police spokesperson Major Thulani Zwane said they found 15 firearms at the scene in Warren Road in Stanger.
Zwane confirmed that it was related to the ongoing taxi violence in the area.
Firearms including AK-47’s, semi-auto rifles, 9mm pistols and ammunition were found.
The Hawks, KwaDukuza SAPS, Kranskop SAPS, the K9 unit and ORS Durban Harbour tactical response team was also there.
