International accolades for Brettenwood Coastal Estate
Local estate wins big at International Property Awards.
Brettenwood Coastal Estate won five awards at the International Property Awards in Dubai last month.
Being nominated for an International Property Award is a prestigious achievement, as the best developments in the world were chosen to compete in different categories.
For this reason, Brettenwood was incredibly proud and excited to be in the company of some of the world’s finest developers, architects, interior designers and real estate agents at the grand awards ceremony at Madinat Jumeirah on December 3 and 4 last year.
The judging committee, chaired by three members of the House of Lord, awarded Brettenwood in the following three categories: Best Retirement Development Africa – Forest Village Phase 2; Best Retirement Development South Africa – Forest Village Phase 2; Best Residential Development South Africa – Brettenwood Coastal Estate.
They also received a Highly Commended in the Real Estate Agency South Africa category which went to Home and Country Property, who sell property for Brettenwood and Chocolate Box Marketing Communication received a Highly Commended in the Development Marketing South Africa category.
“We are particularly thrilled that Brettenwood Coastal Estate has been recognized internationally as the Best Residential Estate in South Africa and that Forest Village has been recognized as the Best Retirement Village, both in South Africa and on the continent,” said Adam Watson, managing director at Hulett development company.
Entries were received from companies in 13 countries across Africa alone and winning entrants were presented with either a ‘Highly Commended’ or ‘5-Star’ award.
The 5-star winners were then re-judged to select just one from each of the 50 different categories to go forward to represent Africa in the 2014-2015 International Property Awards.
After winning awards in the South Africa category, Brettenwood Coastal Estate then competed against other regional winners from Africa and then Arabia, Europe, Canada, the Caribbean, USA, Central and South America, the UK and Asia Pacific to find the ultimate world’s best in each category.
