With the case still pending, the school opened its doors on Wednesday, January 21, along with the rest of South Africa’s coastal schools.
The KwaDukuza municipality (KDM) approached the Durban High Court to stop the school from opening after receiving complaints from business owners in the Ballito business park that the school does not have special consent use to occupy the former hotel building and run it as a school.
The PLG group said is has been dealing with KDM since October last year and accused it of acting in bad faith.
