Demand increases, Eskom warns of load shedding

With an increasing demand, stage one load shedding will be implemented.

Eskom announced that stage one load shedding will be implemented from 4pm this afternoon and will most likely continue till 10pm tonight.

Early this morning Eskom warned that there was a 50% chance for load shedding with the system being severely constrained.

But with a shortage of capacity and an increasing demand it has become necessary to implement load shedding.

Eskom urged consumers to reduce their electricity consumption to minimise the severity of load shedding.

According to Ballito’s load shedding schedules, the area will not experience any power outages in stage one.
