Weekend crime report
Numerous robberies and a woman's car broken into at Willard Beach.
Umhlali SAPS attended the following crimes this weekend:
· On Friday, a business property at Richard Park, Ballito was broken into. The sliding door was found slightly open and doors damaged. Items valued at R7000 were stolen.
· A tuckshop in Shakaskraal was found burgled on Friday morning and items valued at R1500 stolen.
· A Nkobongo resident came back from work on Friday to find the door of his house open, the padlock forced open and a laptop and amplifier stolen.
· In Etete three men held up a resident at gunpoint. They tied his hands with shoe laces and items valued at R34 750 were taken.
· Having parked her car at Willard Beach parking on Saturday a woman returned from the beach to find her passport, drivers licence, cigarettes, towel and iPhone stolen from her car.
· On Saturday night a Nkobongo resident was shot and wounded in his right leg. He was taken to Stanger Hospital.
· A four-year-old girl was raped in Nkobongo on Saturday.
· On Saturday, a resident was robbed by a group of men at Cemetery Lane in Shayamoya. They took his cellphone valued at R1700.
· A Tinley Manor resident found the door of his house on Ocean Drive forced opened on Saturday and items valued at R13 700 stolen.
· A man was stabbed and killed in Shakashead on Saturday. He was stabbed in his right hand, chest and three times in his stomach.
· A Ballito resident woke up on Sunday to find the sliding door of his house in Compensation Beach Road forced open and entry gained. Items valued at R49 000 were stolen.
