
Umhlali SAPS attended the following crimes last weekend:
* On Friday a transformer valued at R20 000 was stolen in Mthombeni farm, Compensation Road. According to the police the transformer belongs to Eskom.
* Two men held up a man at knife point on Sheffield Beach Road on Friday while he was cutting grass. The men drove off in silver grey Polo with his brush cutter.
* Two men were arrested after they were seen carrying a generator through Shakaskraal. When they saw a police van, they left the generator on the street and ran away. They were chased by the police and arrested.
* On Saturday a Ballito resident woke up to find the door of his house on No 7 The Grange forced opened and entry gained. Items valued at R3600 were stolen.
* Three men were assaulted by a mob of about 40 people in Etete, Island Ground. The men were assaulted with sticks and golf clubs. They were taken to Stanger Hospital with injuries to their faces and internal injuries.
