Roadworks to restrict N2 from Umdloti to airport

Consider alternative routes.

The N2 Northbound and Southbound carriageways on Section 26 between the King Shaka International Airport Interchange and the Umdloti Interchange will be restricted to one lane in both directions between Wednesday, April 8 and Tuesday, April 14 (six days and nights) from 9am.

This is due to the joining together of the old and new Umdloti River bridges.

“The restriction is necessary as a result of the need to prevent traffic using the old bridge whilst the new bridge is joined to it and is part of the upgrade of the N2 between Umdloti Interchange and the Tongaat Toll Plaza,” said the statement issued by South African National Roads Agency Limited (SANRAL).

Road users are advised to consider alternative routes on the M4 and R102 during this period.
