WATCH: EFF explain why they want the land
The EFF wants to claim a piece of land in Ballito.
On Sunday a group of Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) started to build shacks on Green Fields farm at Ballito next to the N2 highway as part of a land grab attempt.
Today, more EFF members and community residents pitched up to build their dwellings but were prevented by police.
The land is owned by a consortium of Dolphin Coast residents and is earmarked for commercial and residential development.
