Load shedding moved to stage two

More load shedding to build up reserves for the weekend.

Eskom implemented stage one load shedding on Friday morning from 6am.

By 9am Eskom announced that they will move to stage two load shedding from 10am and that will likely continue to 10pm tonight.

Eskom said this is due to a further shortage of generation capacity and to build up reserves to lessen the impact of load shedding.

In stage two, Ballito will have load shedding from 2pm to 4pm. You can view the schedules here.

Tongaat and Westbrook will have load shedding from 10am to 12pm.

Umdloti, La Mercy and Genazzano will have load shedding from 4pm to 6pm.
