Eskom announced that they will implement stage one load shedding from 5pm today and it is likely to continue until 10pm tonight.
This is due to a shortage of generation capacity as several units are currently out of service due to maintenance.
Because of this maintenance, Eskom said the system will not be able to meet 1 000MW of the demand.
This means that Ballito will be in the dark from 6pm to 8pm according to the schedule.
Other areas on the Dolphin Coast like Tongaat, La Mercy, Westbrook and Umdloti are not affected.
