On April 27, South Africa celebrates Freedom Day.
This day commemorates the first free and fair democratic elections that was held on April 27 in 1994.
It was the first election where every South African, any race and any gender, over the age of 18 could make their mark and vote.
What will you be doing to celebrate your freedom in South Africa today?
Why not visit the Nelson Mandela capture site in Howick, in the KZN Midlands?

The impressive sculpture of Mandela’s face, which you can only see at a certain distance, gives recognition to the day when Mandela was arrested on August 5, 1962, culminating in a series of trials that would ultimately see him spend 27 years in prison.
Even Google is wishing you a happy Freedom Day South Africa!
