Quick call saves woman from wreck
Woman manages to call her husband before passing out.
On Monday afternoon a vehicle went off the road on the N2 north just before the Umvoti toll plaza, rolling multiple times before coming to a standstill next to the road.
Paul Herbst from IPSS Medical Rescue said the driver was trapped in the wreckage and managed to phone her husband before losing consciousness.
Her husband got hold of Coastal Towing who notified IPSS Medical Rescue.
“IPSS Medical Rescue paramedics managed to get the injured woman out of the wreckage with the help of the KwaDukuza fire and emergency services. Advanced Life Support paramedics stabilised the patient before transporting her to hospital,” said Herbst.
