Weekend crime report
A family in Salt Rock woke up to find a man in their house.
Umhlali SAPS attended the following crimes last weekend.
– A man was arrested on Friday after he held a resident at knifepoint in Etete. He took his cell phone.
– A man stole a lady’s handbag on Friday night while she was sitting inside a car on Compensation Road near Collisheen Estate. She was waiting for her boyfriend when the man opened the rear door and took the bag.
– A family woke up to find a man inside their house in Salt Rock on Friday. He ran away with items valued at R42 300.
– On Saturday morning, there was a group of men sitting on a vehicle bonnet outside a bar in Shakaskraal. When the owner of the car told them to move away, they gathered around him and one of them took his handgun.
– In Shakaskraal, a man was shot on Saturday morning while he was waiting for a taxi to Etete. He was taken to hospital.
– A man was shot outside a tuck shop in Shayamoya on Saturday morning. He was taken to hospital.
