UPDATE: Kidnapping message old news
Kidnapping messages refer to an incident that happened a month ago.
There is no need for parents of Ballito and Salt Rock to panic over recent rumours of two attempted kidnapping incidents at the Lifestyle and Tiffany’s shopping centres.
After speaking with management at both shopping centres and security services operating in the area, it has come to light that an incident which occurred roughly a month ago has since been confused with kidnapping attempts earlier this week.
Management at both Spar outlets and shopping centres urge residents to remain calm as these recent rumours are totally unfounded and simply never happened.
“Security services at the centre exercise a full-time presence,” said Tessa Woodley, general manager of the Lifestyle Centre, who wanted to assure members of the public that their safety is a priority and that they can feel comfortable resuming their normal day-to-day routine.
