Umhlali SAPS attended the following crimes last weekend.
A white Toyota Fortuner was stolen in Ballito on Friday night.
There was a house robbery at Mthombisa, Upper Tongaat on Friday. The criminals took R1 000 from the family.
On Friday, a house on Townsend Road, Ballito was broken into and items valued at R3 100 were stolen.
Three people were stabbed in a tavern in Etete on Friday afternoon.
A white Ford Ranger was stolen at Willard Beach, Ballito on Saturday.
On Saturday a house was broken into in Sheffield Drive and items valued at R95 3000 were stolen.
A mother and her daughter were held up at knife point in their home on Joanne Close, Ballito on Sunday. Items valued at R65 350 were taken.
On Sunday, in Shakaskraal a man was shot and killed by a police officer. Apparently the deceased had stabbed two people next to King Store and when the police officer came to the scene, he tried to stab the officer. Allegedly the officer fired a warning shot, however he did not stop and the officer shot him. According to the police, the man was a well known drug dealer in the area.
A man was held up at knife point on Sunday in Shakaskraal, his money and cellphone was taken.
