In celebration of Women’s Day, the African Christian Democratic Party (ACDP) took time on Friday morning August 7 to spoil the female teachers and staff of Trinityhouse Palm Lakes and Destiny Life Academy in Ballito.
The ladies of these schools were all treated with goodie bags and roses which were sponsored by the women’s wing of the ACDP and other generous donors.
Trinityhouse Pre-Primary principal, Carolyn Slabbert, was grateful for the kind gesture of appreciation.
She thanked the ACDP for making her staff feel so special.
Destiny Life Academy principal, Ilana Markgraaf, and her staff were elated and surprised by the ACDP’s tokens of appreciation.
“We really feel so blessed and honoured as women today and this thoughtful gesture could not have come at a better time,” she said.
The chairman of the ACDP’s provincial executive committee in KZN, Councillor Nel Sewraj, thanked them for their excellent efforts in the educational domain and encouraged them to aspire to greater heights in their service towards God and society.
“We as the ACDP value women and the immense contribution they make to our nation. We regard them as the builders of our society and the ones who play a vital role in shaping and transforming our communities. But woman educators even more because they are doing this as a career, shaping and moulding the minds and lives of our future leaders. They are the unsung heroes of our society. For this reason the ACDP decided to honour and appreciate these women educators with gifts to celebrate their contribution to society,” said Sewraj.
