The trial of a Ballito man who allegedly poisoned and killed his neighbour’s dog has been set down for January 19 in the KwaDukuza magistrates court.
Charges that had been brought against him in February 2014 were provisionally withdrawn last October after the State said that some statements were outstanding.
They were reinstated last month and the man appeared in KwaDukuza magistrates court last Friday, October 2.
He was not asked to plead.
Ballito resident Amir Abbas of Salisbury Road brought charges after the accused allegedly fed poisoned sausages to his dogs on January 18, 2014, after which one died.
