A fun day for a safer community

Get your sun cream and hats out and get ready for the action packed, fun-filled Salt Rock Neighbourhood Watch (SRNW) Family Day this Saturday.

Whether you like vintage vehicles, touch rugby or jumping castles, Salt Rock Country Club will have it all.

The day will kick off at 11am with a touch tournament, which is open to any keen sportsman.

The little ones can take part in the fun touch rugby game or play in the kids area supplied by the Famous Fun Factory.

For petrol heads, Vespa Scooter Run and vintage cars will be on display and the fire department will have their impressive fire engine for you to admire too.

KDM protection services will have an demonstration with their K9 Dog Unit where you can see the furry protectors in action.

The market section will offer a number of vendors goodies such as craft beer and waffles, to keep you hydrated and full of energy.

Prize giving will be held around 3.30pm, followed by the Rugby World Cup quarter final at 4pm.

Former Miss Ballito, Renalda Hoffman is part of the organising team and said she would like to encourage every one to participate.

“This event is a great way to bring the community together and to create awareness and raise funds towards community safety initiatives. By working together and proactively combating crime, we make our area a safer place,” said Hoffman.

Hoffman said they are thankful to Seeff and IPSS Security, who are the main sponsors.
