Car torn in half in N2 Umhlali crash

Five people were thrown from the vehicle on impact.

A delivery vehicle drove into the rear end of a stationary truck on the N2 near Umhlali in the early hours of this morning.

According to IPSS Medical Rescue’s Paul Herbst the impact was so severe that it tore the delivery vehicle in half.

“The victims were ejected from the wreckage and found 30m down an embankment.

“Five patients were transported to Stanger hospital with injuries ranging from moderate to critical,” he said.
