Four-car crash at Zinkwazi off-ramp
Three people have been taken to hospital after the crash.
Shortly before 3pm this afternoon four vehicles were involved in an accident on the N2 southbound just past the Zinkwazi offramp.
IPSS Medical Rescue’s Paul Herbst told The Courier that a truck carrying a bakkie collided with a Mercedes, before another vehicle, a Chevrolet, rear-ended the truck.”
The Chevrolet came to a rest underneath the larger vehicle.
IPSS transported three patients to hospital with moderate injuries, two from the Mercedes and one from the Chevrolet.
“With the bad weather moving in on KZN, we caution drivers to be careful on the roads.
“In poor visibility – and especially on wet roads – accidents happen before you know it,” Herbst warned.
The N2 southbound was closed after the accident and traffic is still congested.
