Also this morning, two vehicles were involved in an accident on the N2 near Tinley Manor this morning, where the water is waist deep.
Herbst said the accident was due to the poor weather conditions. Both vehicles rolled but the drivers were lucky to escape with only minor injuries.
The N2 was closed after the accident due to the massive amount of water on the road – in places waist deep – but has since been partially reopened. Drivers are warned to slow down and be on the lookout for officials directing traffic.
