Orphan Fund launches recycling initiative at The Courier
The Orphan Fund will also receive cash back for all the paper collected in the special bin provided
The North Coast Courier Orphan Fund marked World Environment Day the right way on Monday.
Together with Mpact and The Glass Recycling Company (TGRC), the Fund has launched a paper and glass recycling initiative by placing a recycling station next to The North Coast Courier offices at the Ballito Business Centre in Ballito Drive.
Not only is recycling a vital strategy in combating litter and pollution, but the Orphan Fund will also receive cash back for all the paper collected in the special bin provided.
Two recycling champions, Miss Earth 2010 Dominique Mann and Ronnie the Recycler, came out to celebrate with the Orphan Fund.
Mann said she was delighted that Ballito residents now had such an easy way to help both the environment and children in need.
So now you have no excuse – separate out the paper and glass waste you produce and drop it at the collection point. Not only will you be doing your part in keeping our planet clean but you will also be helping to support orphans and vulnerable children in our area.
“It is exciting that it is now so very easy to do our small bit extra,” said North Coast Courier general manager Pieter Naudé.
