Warm hearts, warm toes for the orphans

Little ones with big hearts got on board and collected boxes of non-perishable items to help vulnerable children on the Dolphin Coast keep warm and cozy

For those lacking the warmth of a family home, the annual North Coast Courier Orphan Fund Soup, Socks and Snuggles collection helps give those less fortunate a little community warmth and love.

All in the spirit of giving, little ones with big hearts got on board and collected boxes of non-perishable items to help vulnerable children on the Dolphin Coast keep warm and cozy during the cold winter season.

Ashton International College’s pupils worked hard to gather donations for the orphans and managed to collect: 83 boxes of soup, 209 pairs of socks, 158 single packets of soup, 44 blankets, 59 cans of soup, five teddies, two pairs of slops, two caps, one mattress, one bag and one play mat.

Also joining the drive with enthusiasm, the children from Crawford Preparatory and Pre-Primary North Coast were proud to show off the huge amount of items they had managed to collect.

Not limiting themselves to just the basics, many of the little givers went out of their way to collect sleeping bags, toys and clothing that is sure to come in handy this winter.
