Bringing some warmth to winter

This year the campaign managed to collect a stunning 2881 items

The North Coast Courier Orphan Fund has been burning the midnight oil gathering clothing, food and more for the annual Soup, Socks and Snuggles campaign.

People across the North Coast opened their hearts to the most vulnerable members of society and set up collection points for the initiative.

This drive is traditionally very well supported by the schools and this year was no different.

Local schools, churches, petrol stations, realtors and grocery stores collected the goods at 15 collection points across the Dolphin Coast.

This year the campaign managed to collect a stunning 2881 items including: 1207 assorted soups (i.e. packet, can, instant), 852 pairs of socks, 313 snuggles (i.e. beanies, scarves, etc.), 191 blankets and 318 assorted items (assorted clothing, shoes, towels, etc.). Some baby clothes were also received and will be donated to New Beginnings.

Siyakha Build It also sponsored four additional collection boxes that were needed thanks to the huge buy in from the community.
