N2 closed after truck accident near Mvoti Toll

The road is expected to remain closed for the next two to three hours.

Emergency services are working frantically to clear an accident scene which resulted in the closure of both the N2 north and south bound lanes this morning.

According to IPSS Medical Rescue’s Paul Herbst, a stationary truck was rear ended by another truck just past the Mvoti Toll, north bound.

One person was killed and two others sustained critical and moderate injuries respectively.

The road is expected to remain closed for the next two to three hours.

Traffic is being diverted at the Groutville off-ramp.
