UPDATE: Pay parking system not yet in all areas
The service provider, Vusa Isipho Trading Enterprise, is still in the process of training parking marshals
The parking system that was planned to come into effect from November 1, has not yet been implemented in Ballito, Umhlali and Shakaskraal.
The system launched by the KwaDukuza municipality will see motorists in Stanger, Ballito, Shakaskraal and Umhlali pay R6 an hour for public bays.

So far parking marshalls have been seen operating only in Stanger.
KwaDukuza municipality media liaison officer Sipho Mkhize said this was because the service provider, Vusa Isipho Trading Enterprise, is still in the process of training parking marshals
“There are locations that do not have these marshals. However, I can confirm that no location will be without a marshal in the course of next week.”
So far, motorists in Stanger have taken to social media raging about technical glitches with the parking tariff devices.
Ilse van Zyl said the times on her parking receipt were incorrect. The receipt showed a time of 2.51pm when it was 8.55am
However, Mkhize said that Vusa Isipho Trading Enterprise was in the process of reprogramming their software.
“I confirm that no one has been overcharged due to this. The municipality commits itself to raising all concerns and complaints raised by the community with the service provider in its endeavor to find amicable solutions to what the public has brought to its attention.”
