Bodies of woman and child found buried in Desainagar – Tongaat
It is believed the woman and child were murdered and buried in Park Avenue Road on the same day.
A trail of blood in Desainagar, Tongaat, led to the gruesome discovery of two bodies – a woman and five-year-old child, both buried in a shallow grave.
Tongaat Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) member Nazir Sadak said the bodies were found after 6 pm on Monday after a tip-off.
It is believed the woman and child were murdered and buried in Park Avenue Road on the same day.

“CERT together with Tongaat SAPS found the shallow grave opposite Shalimar Gardens flats. A passerby noticed blood on the pathway and informed SAPS.
“We first discovered the adult and as we dug further we discovered the child buried under her,” he said.
Sadak said both the woman and child sustained blunt force injuries to the head.
