Appeal for donations after Durban children’s home burns down

The Durban based home was completely gutted.

Dolphin Coast community members are rallying to assist more than 50 children from the Edith Benson children’s home in Durban after it burnt to the ground on Tuesday evening.

Firefighters and paramedics responded to the fire, which fortunately resulted in no casualties.

It is unclear what caused the fire.

Any donations can be dropped off at the IPSS Medical Rescue base at WOW business park, Ballito. They will be taken to the relevant relief organisers.

  • Nappies from new to size 5
  • Blankets
  • Clothing 0 to 6
  • Steriszilera
  • Bottlels for feeding milk
  • Cereal
  • Purity up to 6 months
  • Wetwipes
  • Bowls
  • Spoons
  • Soap
  • Creams
  • Sponges
  • Baby baths
  • Facecloths
  • Towels
  • Bedding
  • Blankets
  • Pillows
