CAUTION: Protesters return to N2 – Mvoti
"We advise people to drive with caution because the protesters were hiding in the bushes near the road."
A group of protesters returned to the N2 near the Umvoti Toll Plaza this evening, blocking the north bound land of the highway with burning trees and tyres.
It is suspected that these protesters are the same people involved in this morning’s Intertoll strike, however this could not be confirmed.

KwaDukuza SAPS spokesperson, Sibusiso Khuzwayo, said that the road has since been reopened but motorists are advised to be careful.
“Police are monitoring the situation, but we advise people to drive with caution because the protesters were hiding in the bushes near the road.”
Meanwhile, earlier today, a group of residents were protesting at the KwaDukuza police station demanding the release of a man that was arrested in connection with a case of attempted murder.
The protesters have now moved to the R102 Ntshawini and have blocked the road.
This comes after a woman accused of witchcraft was recently hospitalised in Tshawini and her house was burnt to ashes.
