The Intertoll workers strike is officially over, Intertoll announced this afternoon.

This agreement will be effective from March 1 and will be in place for two years, with the potential to extend it for a further year.
It was also agreed that three months after the signing of this agreement, a committee will be formed in the toll industry to develop the terms and conditions of employment for all employees.
An industry agreement will be drafted which will set the minimum conditions of employment.
Also all seasonal employees whose employment contracts need to be aligned to section 198 of the Labour Relations Act of 1995, as amended, will be converted to permanent employees from the date of signing this agreement.
Employees will be expected to report to work by tomorrow, March 30.
The strike turned violent last week when a storeroom was set ablaze and four temporarly workers were injured at the Umvoti Toll Plaza.
Workers were demanding that their wages be increased from R2900 to R6000 a month.
The toll booths at Umvoti have been unmanned since last week as a result.
